2026 The Dwelling Place

The Dwelling Place is SAPLC’s all-generations summer series happening Wednesday evenings in July (8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th) from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Everyone from the SAPLC community, neighbors, families, and friends, are warmly invited to join us. This year, we're embracing the theme "Heart of Service. Together, we'll explore stories of helpers in the Bible and put our faith into action through meaningful service projects that make a difference in our community and beyond.

SERVICE PROJECTS:

July 8: Building Homes, One Piece at a Time

We'll build dressers and other furniture for Bridging, an organization that furnishes homes for families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and housing insecurity. Together, we'll transform simple furniture kits into practical pieces that help make a house feel like home.

July 15: Feeding Our Neighbors

We'll partner with The Sandwich Project to prepare sandwiches for people experiencing hunger in our community. Our goal is to make 400 sandwiches that will be shared with neighbors in need.

July 22: Sharing Comfort

We'll make fleece tie blankets for children receiving care through Children's Minnesota. These blankets offer warmth, comfort, and a reminder that families are surrounded by love and support during difficult times.

July 29: Supporting Learning and Saving Lives

We'll assemble STEM kits for STARBASE Minnesota, helping provide hands-on science and engineering learning opportunities for students. We'll also label swab kits for the National Marrow Donor Program, supporting their work of connecting patients with potential life-saving donors.
