Special ministry grants awarded at the May 10, 1999 Congregational Meeting


These projects were approved for funding as special ministry grants or from memorial funds:

  • Asian Women United: Battered Women's Shelter;
  • U of M Lutheran Campus Ministry: Dorm Student Advocate;
  • Global Health Ministries for communication system for Bangladesh;
  • Columbia Earthquake Relief;
  • Providence Ministries (Haiti);
  • Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp: Refurbishment;
  • Southeast Asian Ministry: Volunteer Staff Co-ordinator;
  • Archive/wall display for narthex;
  • Wooden coffee carts for narthex;
  • Christmas lights;
  • High-speed printer for office;
  • Special outreach emphasis;
  • Pilot parish nurse program;
  • Youth outreach, service and personal grown pilot project;
  • Cantata;
  • Staff enrichment;
  • Sanctuary enhancement (money for new banner task force);
  • Web of Sharing (knitting/ crocheting Project);
  • Little Light Music Series;
  • Men's Retreat;
  • Conga drums for choirs

The total amount available this year was $17,600. Application requests totaled $49,571.
